Yorkshire Water awards contracts for AMP7 £77m+ technical services framework

Yorkshire Water has awarded contracts for its AMP7 technical services framework which is worth an estimated £77.2 million in total.

The water company is looking to develop strong partnerships via the framework to aid with delivery of a range of technical services in support of its business plan objectives.

The services are primarily focused on based maintenance functions to allow delivery of Yorkshire Water’s AMP7 business plan and delivery of business funded projects for the installation of new systems.

Initial framework term is 4 years with an option to extend for up to 2 years.

The contract was tendered in two separate Lots - services to be provided under Lot 1 Project and Programme Management will include:

  • supporting the preparation of business analyses and technical architecture in making a business case
  • wide range of survey activities such as site audits, inspections and on-site investigations
  • detailed understanding and knowledge of mechanical and electrical instrumentation, control, automation and telemetry monitoring in order to optimize Yorkshire Water’s water and sewage treatment processes
  • detailed technical specifications to support maintenance and development of the Yorkshire Water engineering specifications
  • configuration services
  • supervise works on the complete range of operational water and sewage sites.
  • Site engineering
  • minor installations of standard equipment equipment on water and sewage sites, including mechanical and electrical, telemetry, SCADA, PLC’s and LOI’s and water and sewage instrumentation,
  • commissioning of a number of assets on the complete range of water and sewage plant
  • general project management services incorporating CDM activities; principal designer and principal contractor

 

Lot 2 for Design, Feasibility and Survey services includes:

  • Process design, Civil and structural design, Mechanical design
  • Electrical, instrumentation control automation and monitoring design
  • Consultancy services
  • operability and maintainability reviews
  • feasibility studies
  • site audits
  • inspections
  • on-site investigations
  • proof and functionality testing
  • Reliability Centred Asset Management (RCAM)
  • instrumentation control automation monitoring

 

Aciem Group Ltd and Sweco UK Ltd have both been awarded contracts under Lot 1 for project and programme management.

Contracts have also been awarded under Lot 2 –as yet no information is available about successful suppliers.
